Bridging the Digital Divide Across Wisconsin
Techquity is a statewide initiative led by United Way of Wisconsin, dedicated to closing the digital divide and ensuring that every individual and family has access to technology, affordable internet, and the skills needed to succeed in today’s digital world. We believe digital access is a right, not a privilege—and we’re here to make that a reality for people across Wisconsin.
Our Mission
To promote digital equity by improving access to technology, digital skills, and affordable connectivity for all Wisconsin residents, with a focus on those historically left behind.
Our Vision
A Wisconsin where every person, regardless of income or background, can fully participate in the digital world—empowered by technology, connected to opportunity, and equipped with the skills to thrive.
Our Impact
To date, Techquity has distributed over 25,000 laptops, supported 30,000 families in accessing affordable internet, and provided digital navigation support to more than 5,000 community members. These numbers represent more than just technology—they reflect lives changed, opportunities unlocked, and barriers removed.
Why Techquity Matters
In today’s world, access to technology isn’t optional—it’s essential. From education and employment to healthcare and daily life, being connected means being empowered. Yet, too many people across Wisconsin face systemic barriers that prevent them from fully participating in the digital economy. Techquity is here to change that by making technology accessible, affordable, and easy to use for everyone.
Whether you’re looking for support, want to volunteer, or are interested in partnering with us, Techquity is a community-driven initiative that thrives on collaboration. Together, we can create a Wisconsin where no one is left behind in the digital age.
